Trip to Fukushima powerplant and it’s surrounding “ghost towns” – Fukushima Exclusion Zone. Invited by TEPCO I had the rare opportunity to visit the reactor site and see people trying to fix the destroyed buildings.
Trip to North Korea. After 6 days in Pyongyang I took the train to Russia via Chongjin and Tumangang.
Trip to Pakistan in December 2018. Khyber Rifles Headquarter, Landi Kotal, Peshawar, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Abbottabad, Gilgit, Hunza Valley, Khunjerab Pass.
Trip to Omo Valley Ethiopia. Visiting the tribes in the south west region close to the border with South Sudan.
My second trip to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in Ukraine. I’ve spent 4 nights in the zone – sleeping in abandoned buildings, exploring Pripyat day and night.
4000 km Road Trip through eastern Congo, the DRC. By truck, by boat and Mototaxi.
My trip to Afghanistan in November 2018. Kabul, Panjshir Valley, Salang Pass, Pol-e-Khomri, Mazar-e-Sharif, Istalif, Kandahar, Jalalabad, Torkham Border Crossing.
Not the safest place on earth, but a trip to Mogadishu (Somalia) is something you’ll never forget. (November 2017)
